So I went to the track again. . . I was dissapointed

Im shitty at launching. . I never cut good lights but im getting much better, any tips would be awsome!!!
I dont know If I was launching too high (4k rpms) but I was spinning 1st part of 2nd, and chirping 3rd
my mods are AEM V2 (RSX-S), Hondata IM Gasket, Megan TP, 2.5in Exhaust, Magnaflow Muffler, ESMM am I running where im supposed to be?

i honestly just think you suck at driving... (no offense) but my friend chad ran 15's all day with his black EP3 (he has maybe less mods than you??), and i think mikes Del sol actually ran something like a 16.2 when a friend of ours drove it.

so technically, you should be in the mid 15's

idk ive been launch when the light turns green. . . I was told to go just as teh 3rd yellow is going on. . . so im going to have to try that next time

yea i tink i found out the problem, my friend greg and kenny went with their cars, gregs evo ran a 13.3 last time he went at 103 mph, with just an exhaust, now when he went he ran a 14.0 at ??? mph (he also upped the boost and upgraded some other small parts) i haven't found out the trap speeds yet, but everyones saying there was something messed up with the timing, seems like it may have been a second off. so your times may actually be a 15+ and progress down to a 14.8, it makes sense, because kennys 3z ran a 14.1 and its alot faster than my car which ran a 13.9.

you just gotta keep practicing on your launch dude, you shouldnt be spinning tire like that..........
theres 2 types of people, those who suck at the track, and those who suck on the street.... just practice your launch, you need to get more track time in.

did you try lauching at any lower rpms. or try switching lanes one of the two my be alittle slicker than the other one.

First off...

Don't launch on the green light. The SECOND the 3rd yellow is lighting, launch. Most people launch on the 2nd yellow. The human reaction time is slow enough, that you have to start launching before that green lights up.

Secondly...

You have two choices. You either smoke your tires, or smoke your clutch. If you don't like the tire spin and want to run faster, slip the clutch off the line. The problem with high revving 4 cylinders (N/A especially) is that their bottom end power is non existant and the only way to get up and go is to get the RPMs up off the line. That usually leads to tire spin. When you're coming off the line, play with the clutch. After enough practice, you'll be able to ride out the clutch in 1st for a second or so, then just hammer-down normally.

Lastly...

Get some good tires and shift faster (assumption here). Remember the great mantra "Never lift to shift". Its the track. Drive it like you stole it.

I guess my major factor is the fact im launching at green and not the third yellow. . . im going to go back eith next wed's or next friday. . . so I will see what happens then. . .

Yeah, but in ANY competition (legal or illegal) its about who gets to the end faster... R/T has a huge factor in that. It's called "holeshotting" a person, when they run a faster ET, but you get to the end first.

joe you suck just give up and i ran a 15.9 in my 1st civic with 4 puck unsprung clutch intake and fart can and my da i ran a 15.9 stock and the new civic got a 14.9 with alot of wheelhoop
